the next day we were shut down and sorry

sorry Matt David Gunther director

Pilates can Pty Limited we've got a

studio in Monica and a studio in Loudoun

in Canberra we've been doing that for 20

years we look after people with really

specialized for latest equipment

reformers ladder barrels wonder chairs

trapeze tables things that give a

different orientation of gravity and

allow us to really correct movement

patterns we have about a thousand

bookings a month and that ranges from

one to one sessions private sessions to

semi-private sessions with a maximum of

four people it was looking like it was

going to be nothing because of course

we've been shut down in the studio

my sister suggested that we we look at

going online with our Pilates and I

immediately said no I'm too busy to give

you all the reasons now but I'll tell

you another time all the reasons why we

wouldn't do that the next day we were

shut down and the next day we decided we

would go online and embrace the change

we haven't stood down anyone at this

point

a 10 out of the 12 that pivoted very

quickly and successfully the main thing

that is the same is the connection

between the instructor and the client

that's a really important thing because

there's a social element with Pilates

that will at least the Pilates that we

deliver lots of good things coming out

of it lots of lots of really positive

things we've seen things like people

start pets their dogs their cats their

children their lounge rooms their dining

rooms their bedrooms

clients have seen that from each other

as well so it's really increased the

connection in a time when

[Music]

hard to connect you know sir so the

clients directed to a page on our

website we're about fifty percent and

growing that as people are coming back

to to that mode of delivery we've got

clients right through from the teenagers

through to in their 80s and even 90s

we've been providing support for them to

be able to you know find the Mike on

their on their iPad and that sort of

thing that their grandson might have set

up for them two years ago that's created

for the connection again you know that

they really want to do this and sorry

sorry man

we're just going to work hard to get

everything right and make the right

decisions as we go along support our

staff support our clients build our

client base through the through the

pivot hopefully for us that's just the

beginning as we met with the you know

the greater universe out there aside

from our little packs here in Umbra

you
